Herbal tea, honestly reviewed: what each botanical can and cannot do

The detox tea category earned its bad reputation. A large part of it is senna, a stimulant laxative, packaged as wellness. The scale moves, the marketing works, and what actually left your body was water and gut content.

That is not the whole story though. Some botanicals have real, modest, well-studied effects on digestion and steady energy. The problem is that honest information about them is buried under both hype and backlash.

So this library does something simple: one honest page per botanical. What it is, what the research actually suggests, what it cannot do, and how to spot the products using it as a cover story. Matcha, sencha, yerba mate, oolong, goji, ginseng, milk thistle, and dandelion each get their own answer, plus practical questions like when to drink it and how long before anything changes.
